Club Marine, Australia's leading boat insurance provider, has announced a new partnership with the Australian Offshore Powerboat Club (AOPC) to offer specialised insurance coverage for race boats while they are on land.
This initiative addresses a significant gap in the market, providing protection against accidental loss, damage, theft, or malicious damage to vessels during storage and transit.

Historically, securing insurance for race boats outside of active competition has been challenging. The new policy from Club Marine offers peace of mind to owners by covering their vessels when they are not in the water. Additionally, policyholders can claim up to $2,000 for non-refundable race and tournament entry fees if an insured incident prevents participation.

AOPC Commodore Antony De Fina highlighted the importance of this development, noting that such insurance was previously unavailable. He emphasised that the fear of damage during transit or theft has been a significant concern for race boat owners, and this new offering provides much-needed relief.

Club Marine CEO Tim Wiles expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating that it reflects the company's commitment to supporting the sport and strengthening connections with boating enthusiasts across Australia.

This collaboration underscores Club Marine's dedication to the boating community, offering tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of race boat owners. By addressing the specific risks associated with transporting and storing high-performance vessels, Club Marine continues to lead in providing comprehensive marine insurance solutions.
